Sometimes, it’s the most unexpected events that can completely change the trajectory of one’s life. This is what happened to us when you came into ours, Mouse. Though we took you into our home, it was you who adopted us and made our family your own.

We often wonder how things would have been if you had been with us from the beginning. Could we have caught your cancer early and been able to treat it? You were truly so young to suffer such a horrible disease. My heart breaks when I think that you were abandoned and neglected, as you were when you came into our yard. If only you had been loved and adored as you deserved. Even still, your resilience taught us how powerful the fighting spirit can be when one loves life; and you did.

Seeing you frolic in and care for Mickey’s garden warmed our hearts. Never before had we seen a cat that hopped around like a little bunny. Your cute antics and sweet nature were truly adorable and one-of-a-kind. You will be forever missed by all who met you. If you only knew the legacy both you and Mickey have left behind. A legacy that will continue to help many more like you.
