Trap–Neuter–Return (TNVR) Request & Liability Agreement

Trap–Neuter–Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) is a humane population control program for free-roaming community cats. Cats are humanely trapped, sterilized, vaccinated, ear-tipped for identification, and returned to the location where they were trapped.

By requesting TNR services from The Mickey and Mouse Project Inc., the undersigned agrees to the following terms:

  1. Authorization for TNR Services

I am the property owner, resident, or authorized agent of the property owner for the location listed below and am requesting TNR services for free-roaming cats present on or around the property.

I grant permission for The Mickey and Mouse Project Inc. and volunteers to place humane traps and retrieve cats on or around the property for the purpose of TNR.

  1. Acknowledgment That Cats Will Be Returned

I understand and agree that all cats trapped as part of this TNR effort will be returned to the exact location where they were trapped.

Return of the cats is a required part of the TNR process and is not negotiable.

Once trapping has begun, I may not withdraw permission for the return of the cats and may not request that The Mickey and Mouse Project Inc remove, relocate, or permanently take custody of the cats.

  1. Community Cat Status

I acknowledge that these cats are free-roaming community/feral cats and are not owned by:

Name

The purpose of TNR is to stabilize and gradually reduce the population, not to eliminate cats from the area.

  1. Caretaker Acknowledgment

By requesting TNR services, I acknowledge that I am acting as a community cat caretaker and agree to allow the cats to remain at the location and to provide:

  •  Proper feeding technique*
  •  Water
  •  Monitoring of the colony
  • Shelter (if needed)
  • Quick sterilization of newcomers

I understand that additional cats may appear in the future and may require additional TNR services. I will immediately act on this and not wait for the population to get out of control again.

  1. No Guarantee of Trapping All Cats

I understand that trapping feral cats can be unpredictable and not all cats may be trapped during a single trapping effort.

  1. Liability Release and Hold Harmless

To the fullest extent permitted by state law, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless The Mickey and Mouse Project Inc, its directors, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liability, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • The presence or behavior of free-roaming cats
  • Property damage
  • Cats leaving or entering the area
  • Neighbor complaints or disputes
  • Injuries or incidents related to trapping activities
  1. No Removal or Relocation Services

I understand that The Mickey And Mouse Project Inc. does not provide feral cat removal or relocation services and is not responsible for future management of the cats beyond the requested TNR services. I agree to follow through with proper colony management techniques so as to keep the colony stabilized.
